David Lloyd
DAVID LLOYD is a UK-based New Zealand photographer of wildlife whose work favours a fine art style with a particular affinity for black and white. He largely focuses on photography for prints and exhibitions. David spends three to four months a year shooting in Africa, and has recently started visiting India, predominantly working with tigers. In 2011, his black and white image ‘A Flick of the Tail’ was chosen as the cover of that year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year portfolio, the only time a black and white image has been used on the cover. In late 2013 he held a successful exhibition of his black and white work at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery on Pall Mall in London.
David's first art book, as Long As There Are Animals (2014), with foreword by Virgnia McKenna OBE, head of the Born Free Foundation, is now in its second print. An exhiition to launch the book was succesfully curated at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in London.
